关新平，男，1963年，教育部学者特聘教授，国家杰出青年科学基金获得者。现任上海交通大学科研院副院长，上海交通大学电子信息与电气工程学院院长，上海交通大学自动化系教授，博士生导师。
中国动化学会理事和中国人工智能学会理事；
IEEE Trans. on System, Man & Cybernetics-C、Int. J.及自动化学报等期刊编委；
入选国家百千万人才工程，国务院政府特殊津贴专家；
主要从事无线网络与应用、工业认知网络、物联网及应用等国际前沿研究。先后主持973课题、基金委重点项目等30余项，出版专著2部，在IEEE Trans.Automatic Control等国际顶级期刊发表论文112篇，他引超过1400次。研究成果已获国家自然科学二等奖1项，教育部自然科学奖一等奖2项，曾获IEEE模糊系统汇刊杰出论文奖。

关新平教授多年来一直工作在教学与科研第一线，研究方向－－鲁棒控制理论：（1）时滞系统的鲁棒控制（2）非线性系统的鲁棒控制（3）非线性时滞系统的智能控制；非线性系统混沌控制与保密通讯；小波分析及其应用研究；网络智能控制。
